Hello World!

Hi, I’m Mir Ashif.

I’m a software engineer.

I build product interfaces and the backend systems, data models, and infrastructure behind them. This site holds a few projects, technical notes, and video edits I want to show.

Built for the desktop I use every day.

A personal product shaped around faster ways to move through Omarchy.

Omalauncher

Find every app and Omarchy feature without remembering where it lives.

What it brings together

Omarchy’s scattered menus and commands become one fast, searchable interface.

  • JavaScript
  • Hyprland
  • Linux

Notes

Notes from systems I’ve recently worked on.

What I learned while building interfaces, data models, and software at the edge.

What belongs at the edge?

The right execution point follows the whole data path, not the word “edge” on an architecture diagram.

A retry is safe only when the system can recognize the same intent, control competing attempts, and contain every resulting effect.
